Most of the images on this website have been created by Microsoft’s Copilot. Just from a prompt or two from me to create an image appropriate for each page. Some of the results need a little tweak to remove or add something to the image. While others I need to be a little more creative or precise with the prompt.

I’m not an artist so the old images used were from royalty free image libraries. Other than the odd photo I had taken.

I am using the free version of Copilot, so I may be missing out on some advancements. This is enough for me to create a few images. I have also used it to create a little song for our guinea pig, this is Bruce’s Song.

But it doesn’t always get it right. When asking Copilot to draw an image it will offer four answers. Usually with a slightly different twist on what you asked. Look at the four images below. These were created from the this prompt: “draw a blue vase containing yellow flowers sitting on a pink car”. There seems to be some confusion over what colour what is. How many cars there should be. And where the vase goes.

The vase and flowers have a least been consistent and what was asked for. The colour of the car and where the flowers have been placed a little less. Maybe my instructions need to be a little more precise or more description. But isn’t that where the intelligence comes in, mine and the software’s.

Image 2 is what I asked for. But why the second small car sitting on the bonnet?
Images 1 and 4 are near. In the correct colours, we just have the flowers placed in the wrong place. Image 1 showing a car in the background as well as on the table next to the vase. Does the pink car have a blue bonnet as the A.I. wasn’t sure of the colours required?

Overall I am impressed with what Artificial Intelligence software can now do for us. I know this is only a little example and there is so much more. There is of course much more sophisticated software out there. Used by industries and the scientific world I’m sure. And our little plays with software like Copilot will be helping make the next level even better.

Maybe one day it will get all 4 images correct from my prompt.
